Juvenile Justice External Stakeholder Survey

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) is responsible for providing recommendations to the Governor on juvenile justice issues, funding, and other matters. Keep up the momentum of 988 to #ReimagineCrisis

July marks one year of 988 – the nationwide 3-digit number for people to contact for help during a mental health, substance use or suicide crisis. The 988 Lifeline has already helped countless people in our state connect to support. Over the past year, Pennsylvania has been able to provide 988 counselors at 13 crisis call centers around the state that can immediately provide phone-based support and connections to local resources. If needed, the counselors can activate a mobile mental health crisis team that will arrive on site; provide therapeutic interventions; and/or make referrals for outpatient services or transportation for further evaluation. First Episode Psychosis Centers In Pennsylvania and Upcoming Events

HeadsUp is a collaborating organization whose mission is to help end the stigma around psychosis through education, advocacy, and support. They promote early intervention centered around personalized, accessible, and effective care for all people in Pennsylvania. Family Survey on Successes/Challenges Accessing Intensive Behavioral Health Services

The Mental Health Planning Council of Pennsylvania (MHPC), a part of the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), is conducting a family survey to collect family feedback on successes/challenges in accessing Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS). The survey was created by members of the Mental Health Planning Council Children's Committee with the aim of gathering information directly from families across Pennsylvania regarding their ability to obtain IBHS services that have been prescribed for their child. Important changes to Medicaid and CHIP renewals

Because of the pandemic, the federal government allowed Pennsylvania and other states to continue Medicaid (also known as Medical Assistance or MA) and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) coverage for most people even if they were not eligible anymore. This policy is ended on March 31, 2023. After April 1, 2023, if you do not complete your renewal when it is due, you risk losing your health coverage. What does this mean?
