Hello Friends and supporters of NAMI,
I am Vinay Deshmukh, a resident of Garnet Valley, PA and a passionate supporter of NAMI PA, Main Line, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with severe mental illness and their families. To support the invaluable mental health outreach and advocacy provided by NAMI, and to raise global awareness of mental health, I am embarking on an expedition to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. It is the highest mountain in Tanzania, the highest mountain in Africa, and the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 19,341 feet above sea level. My first day of climb begins on August 4, 2014 with a planned summit day on August 10th. I will display a NAMI banner on the Uhuru peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise global awareness of mental health and NAMI.
Please support this effort though your tax-deductible donation to NAMI PA, Main Line, using the form below. 100% of your donation will go to NAMI as this expedition is self-funded. Thank you for your generosity and for making a difference in the lives of people with mental illness.
Post-climb, a celebration of this project, climbing team and sponsors will be hosted by Main Line School Night/Creutzburg Center on Tuesday, September 23, from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Creutzburg Center, 260 Gulph Creek Road, Radnor, PA. This event includes a presentation by Vinay and a wine and cheese reception. Donors who contribute $25 or more are invited to attend this event as our guest, free of charge. If you prefer to register with Main Line School Night, the cost is $25, which includes a gift to NAMI PA, Main Line. Registration is available here. Please note that you will need to create an account and that there is a $5 registration fee.
Sincerely,
Vinay Deshmukh
