When we are presented with challenges to our mental health and that of our loved ones, it can create stress and anxiety, not only in our minds, but also in in our bodies. Yoga offers a whole body-mind experience that can help.

Helene Von Rosenstiel will offer a chair and standing yoga sequence. The foundation of yoga is learning how our breath supports us and can help keep us grounded and centered— the poses in yoga help to increase flexibility and enhance easeful movement in the body. An ongoing practice of yoga offers increased focus and clarity, strength and balance. A consistent yoga practice provides an opportunity to work toward peaceful well-being. Accommodations and modifications will be offered to make this yoga practice actively accessible to all. The shared practice of yoga provides opportunities for new awareness, interactions, and connections.

Helene is a Yoga Alliance 500-hour instructor and an IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) certified Yoga Therapist. She established a consistent yoga practice during her 68th year and then began classical yoga teacher training in 2016. Now as a wise elder, health challenges have required adaptations and modifications in personal practice and teaching. This allows her to continue her yoga studies and practice while sharing the benefits of a movement form she loves.
