Registration Now Open for Fall Education Courses

We will be offering a hybrid Family-to-Family (F2F) course on Zoom and in person in Havertown once a week for 8 consecutive weeks from 6 – 8:30 p.m. on Monday evenings beginning on September 30. Family-to-Family is a course structured to help family members understand and support a relative diagnosed with a serious mental illness while maintaining their own well-being. The course is taught by trained volunteer family members who know what it’s like to have a loved one with a serious mental illness. F2F is offered as a community service without charge. Registration is required. We will be offering an in person Peer-to-Peer (P2P) course on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Upper Darby beginning in early October. Peer-to-Peer is a free, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery. Taught by trained leaders with lived experience, this program includes activities, discussions and informative videos. It does not include recommendations for treatment approaches. P2P is offered as a community service without charge. Registration is required. Upcoming NAMI Main Line Support Groups

Our NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group for adults living with mental illness meets on Tuesday evenings. This group will have in-person meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays and Zoom meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month. Please contact Danielle Sulpizio at Danielle@livelikebishop.com or Ed Kane at (484) 744-0860 for more information.

Our Parent Peer Support Group for parents with a middle school through young adult child meets weekly on Wednesday evenings via Zoom. If you are interested in joining this support group, please email Nancy.

Save the Dates for our Upcoming Programs

Please save the date for our presentation “Mental Health Resources in Delaware County: You Are Not Alone” on Tuesday, October 8, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Lansdowne Library (55 S. Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050). Join us for a presentation about many of the mental health resources available in Delaware County. There will be a resource table and time for Q & A. Advance registration is not required.

Please save the date for our program “Professional and Personal Perspectives on the Benefits and Side Effects of Psychiatric Medication” on Sunday, October 20, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Zoom. Join us for a brief overview of common psychiatric medication classifications and side effect management with presenter Lacy Clayton. Lacy Clayton is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience working in multiple settings, including psychiatric emergency, acute inpatient care, community mental health, substance use disorders, and general outpatient psychiatry. She has a private practice in Fort Washington, PA and is Clinical Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Nursing. Following the presentation, Matt Baker and Loran Kundra will speak about their personal experiences with the benefits and side effects of medication. Click here to register.
