Save the Date for the 2023 PA Crisis Planning Symposium on 9/14

OMHSAS received a mobile crisis planning grant from CMS. This grant’s final activity is hosting a symposium for all interested partners. This event will feature four of the nation’s thought partners on the evolution of crisis services.

The symposium has been designed to answer your questions and empower professionals to understand their roles in the SAMHSA vision for a modernized crisis system. Evidence has shown us that when a community has a continuum of 988, mobile crisis, an emergency behavioral health walk-in crisis center, and short-term crisis stabilization beds- emergency room boarding and jail admissions significantly decrease. Also of critical importance, voluntary engagement in treatment significantly increases.
