QPR Suicide Prevention Training on February 12
This free training consists of how to apply Suicide Prevention techniques through QPR (Question. Persuade. Refer.) and will be held on Wednesday, February 12, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Bala Cynwyd Library. QPR is not intended to be a form of counseling or treatment but is intended to offer hope through positive action. QPR is also intended to help recognize the warning signs, clues and suicidal communications of people in trouble and to act vigorously to prevent a possible tragedy. Wynnewood Family-to-Family Now Enrolling
Family-to-Family (F2F) at the LANKENAU Medical Center in Wynnewood will begin in early March. F2F is a free 8-week course structured to help family members understand and support a relative diagnosed with a serious mental illness while maintaining their own well-being. The course is taught by trained volunteer family members who know what it’s like to have a loved one with a serious mental illness. Registration is Required. NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania’s fourth annual Child and Adolescent Mental Health Conference will take place on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. The conference, “Resilient Youth: Strategies to Overcome Adversity,” is one of the only events in the region specializing in youth mental health.
