Family-to-Family (F2F) is a free, eight-session education program structured to help family members understand and support a relative diagnosed with a serious mental illness while maintaining their own well-being. The course is taught by trained volunteer family members who know what it’s like to have a loved one with a serious mental illness. Our next course will be offered in a hybrid format with the in person portion taking place at a location in Wayne beginning on Monday, February 23, and meeting once a week from 6-8:30 p.m. F2F is offered as a community service without charge. Peer-to-Peer (P2P) is a free, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery. Taught by trained leaders with lived experience, this program includes activities, discussions and informative videos. It does not include recommendations for treatment approaches. Our next course will be offered in a hybrid format with the in person portion taking place at a location in Upper Darby beginning on March 9, and meeting once a week on Mondays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Peer-to-Peer is offered as a community service without charge. NEW FOR 2026
We will be offering a free online wellness program for teens in grades 8-12 called Stay Well, Build Your Skills, beginning on Thursday, February 26, and meeting from 7-8:30 p.m. This program is an open support group followed by facilitator-led mental health skill building. The first 45 minutes will function as a support group and the second 45 minutes will focus on learning skills to manage emotions, manifest calm, and cope with academic, social, and community stresses. Our Media NAMI Family Member Support Group is a confidential, and safe group of families helping other families who live with mental health challenges. This support group will meet virtually and in-person simultaneously tonight, January 15, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Lima United Methodist Church, 209 N. Middletown Road (Rt. 352) in Media, PA. Our Wellness Chat for Family-to-Family Graduates will be tonight, January 15, at 7 p.m. on Zoom. This is a group designed for graduates of Family-to-Family only. Please contact us for the upcoming meeting information.
Our NAMI Connection Peer Support Group will meet on Tuesday, January 20, at 7 p.m. This is a peer support group for adults living with mental illness, run and led by NAMI-trained facilitators. NAMI National is offering “Ask the Expert: Roles of Caregivers in Recovery” on Thursday, January 29, from 4-5:30 p.m. This is part one of a two-part session on relationship and family support roles. This session will include a pair of siblings and a couple who will share their stories on the importance of relationships and how they navigate recovery together.
Participants will learn about the unique roles of caregivers and partners in recovery, practical advice for finding what works for you, and how the new caregiver HelpLine can support you and your loved ones.
