On August 23-24, NAMI Main Line will sponsor “Pathways to Hope”, a free conference for communities of faith and interested individuals. This conference will bring people together to explore issues of mental health and faith. We will learn about mental illnesses and treatments from psychiatrists and people with first-hand experience, share some strategies for helping a person with mental illness, and provide information about local resources for mental health care. We will aim to reduce the stigma of mental illness and engage faith communities to support people impacted by mental health issues.

This Delaware County conference will welcome people from all faith traditions in person and online. The in-person component of this conference will be at St. James United Church of Christ, 135 Myrtle Ave., Havertown, PA 19083. Our program will be from 10 AM-4 PM on both days. Lunch will be provided, free of charge.

(To register for both days or either day, click on “Continue” on the right on the first screen.) If you are involved with a community of faith that may be interested in publicizing this conference, or if you as an individual are interested in helping with planning and/or outreach, please contact Ingrid Waldron (iwaldron@upenn.edu).
