The Bryn Mawr Family Member Support Group meets on Monday, August 7 at 7:00 p.m. in Bryn Mawr. If you have a family member or loved one with mental illness and are interested in this support group, please contact Susie Vernick at 610-649-5206 for more information.

The Upper Darby NAMI Family Support Group was scheduled to meet this Thursday but the meeting has been cancelled.

We hope you will join us for our annual summer party on Sunday, August 27, 4-6 p.m. at a Merion location. This will be a good opportunity to socialize with others who share similar experiences and to meet Board members of our affiliate. The food will be “potluck” – salads, cold cut, rolls, desserts and drinks. If you are unable to bring any food that’s okay, but a reservation is still required. NAMI PA, Main Line will be offering two sessions of Family-to-Family (F2F) this fall.  Family-to-Family is a course structured to help family members understand and support a relative diagnosed with a serious mental illness while maintaining their own well-being.

  • Family-to-Family at LANKENAU Medical Center in Wynnewood will begin in mid-September (date to be posted), and will meet once a week for 12 consecutive weeks from 7-9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. For questions or to register, contact Judy Green at 610-668-7917 or

How have we gotten to the point where, in many parts of the country, fatal overdoses from narcotics are three times the rate of suicides? During our webinar we will explore this question and many more, as we take an in-depth look at America’s opioid epidemic with Dr. Suzanne Vogel-Scibilia. An expert in the field, Dr. Vogel-Scibilia will walk through the epidemic’s historical background; relevant, pressing policy matters; options for systemic change; as well as treatment options for substance abuse disorders, especially those with opioid use disorder.
